Spyglass Hill We were going chasing but we thought he was entitled to one more go at a hurdle so it was nice to get it. He was very immature last year and the penny is only now starting to drop with him. I had a concern fitness-wise but he had done plenty work and was pretty straight. Hugh said he got an easy lead in front and the horse really enjoyed it and it all worked well.

Mister Melia He's lame out there. Hopefully going forward he'll be okay. He might have just tapped himself. When he went to pull him up he hit himself. It might just be a nerve, hopefully it's nothing worse. He's a nice horse and we always thought a lot of him. We thought he'd win in Ballinrobe but he didn't, it was a rough old race. He got into a lovely rhythm there today and Declan said he didn't have to touch him. He shows that at home, he shows lots of speed. It's just my second runner back in four years.

Russian Diamond He was very disappointing at Christmas, and mine were all a bit under the weather at the time. We were lucky enough that the Mees were patient and there was always Galway for him. He’s a gorgeous big horse and he schools very well already at home so we can’t wait to get going over jumps with him in time.
