Cork Sun, 5th Apr, 2026  Nowwhatdoyouthink I ended up getting Nowwhatdoyouthink by default as I was doing a taxi-run one day with horses and this horse was due to stay in my place for a few nights of ‘B&B’, but ended up staying!. Following his point-to-points, he was initially sold by Sam Curling after his point-to-point and had joined another yard but was then a bit of a wanderer who found it hard to find a home. I previously had Crackerdancer, who was a brilliant mare, win a Listed bumper but this is hard to believe.

Navan Sat, 21st Mar, 2026  Moudan I thought the last run (fifth at Gowran) was a lovely run in a Listed handicap. . Eoin Walsh and Eoghan Finegan ride for me,and Eoin looked after him that day, but we felt we had to claim off him today. . The young man did a lovely job and I'm very pleased with the ride he gave him. . The horse hit the line well and he handles that ground well. Jumped adequately and he is still going to improve in that department. He is a late developer. He's doing very little wrong which is lovely.

Navan Sat, 28th Feb, 2026  Jacob's Ladder Jacob’s Ladder was stepping into a graded race and he has now won a lot of prize money (adding today’s €21,000). He was very gutsy and is going the right way over fences. He picked up and galloped, so we are very happy. He did get through the ground, although Jack said he struggled on it. He won't go to Cheltenham, we might look at Fairyhouse or Aintree all being well.

Punchestown Wed, 18th Feb, 2026  Grainne A Chroi That was great, we’re delighted. She’s actually a good mare, but she’s gotten stronger as she’s got older. We were a little bit worried as she got a bad fall before Christmas, schooling. She was telling us she was right but we were still nervous. Her skin was unreal. She’s tough and she actually did it really well. She came around the home-bend really travelling and he went for it. John hadn’t sat on her in a long time, but he won her maiden hurdle. We were just worried about today and we’ll see where we go now. We’ll see how she is tomorrow. She’ll tell us where we’re going next. That was amazing, I can’t believe it. She’s our pet at home. She’s not over-big, but she’s got a serious heart.

Limerick Tue, 10th Feb, 2026  Survivors Sister Prices (25/1) don't bother me but her run was very good here the last day. I thought she was booked to finish second but Shane (O'Callaghan) maintains she would have won,. Coming here on this type of ground, you don't know what horses will handle it but she is a good filly and is owned by good people. John Joe McGrath and Tom Quinn, both Galwaymen, own her and are great people. It has been a while since we've had a winner and the horses weren't right. Some had been running well but they all look to be coming right now.

Leopardstown Mon, 2nd Feb, 2026  Jacob's Ladder We were very happy with his run in Punchestown the last day. I was a bit worried about the ground being so soft but I’m happy, it was a good performance. I was happy the whole way, he looked comfortable the whole way. Jack got him in a lovely rhythm. I’d imagine he’ll go straight now for a handicap at Cheltenham, all being well.

Fairyhouse Wed, 14th Jan, 2026  Nelson County That was lovely. He came forward from his run in Cork,. We had him in at Down Royal on St Stephen’s Day but were a bit worried about the ground, it was on the dry side and he loves the muck. I was delighted to see a drop of rain. Even when it was called off on Saturday, we knew the rain was coming in the early part of the week and it would stand to him. He’s a nice horse, he’s probably designed to be a three-mile staying chaser. He wouldn’t be a flashy horse at home but the further you go, the better he gets. Danny gave him a lovely ride. I’m delighted for Billy, he’s a homebred and has a very good pedigree. He could be exciting for the spring.

Leopardstown Mon, 29th Dec, 2025  Kish Bank It’s been an unbelievable week. Normally things don’t bounce right for you, but to come out with this amount of winners is unbelievable. Credit to all the team I have at home and all our owners and jockeys. Carl has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of years and he keeps coming back. He always rides a winner at the big festivals. I’m delighted for him as he’s around my place a long time and he works very hard. This horse likes a bit of better ground.
