Balgowlah Delighted but I feel sorry for Donagh Meyler who got a suspension last week off him - the horse got into a bit of interference coming into the straight (in Navan) and flew home. Donagh got off him and said 'if I ride him again he will win'. Sean (Flanagan) just happened to get the ride on him today and gave him a great ride. He deserved it, he had been consistent here in three or four runs and we knew he would get up the hill. The only worry was what Navan had taken out of him. He's only four and he is a tough, little horse and we bought him cheaply for a syndicate. All is good with him. Course form is a great thing with him. He loved that ground - his next stop could be Ayr on the 28th October or there's a three mile 0-102 in Down Royal at the Festival (in November). With the syndicate I'd say we'd be going for the festival. He stays well and he'd jump a fence some day too.

Thiswaycadeaux The ground came for her and she’s a different filly on that ground. Billy rode her with lots of confidence and got her on a good even keel,. Things have to fall right for fillies and she was in a going mood today. The ground is the difference. She’s entered in the seven-furlong (Sovereign Path) handicap on Champions Weekend (at Leopardstown), so if everyone goes to the All-Ireland (Football Final Replay) then I might go there!

Ultra Pride He's a gorgeous horse, home-bred, and he's just needed a bit of time to strengthen up,. The girls were giving out to Robbie for giving him a bad ride. They said he kicked too soon. He was just laughing at them. We knew he stayed and he just decided to keep it uncomplicated. I think the horse like the bit of space because I don't think he liked it the race day when they all surrounded him. He's still very green, he's quite lightly raced. This was brilliant because it wasn't in the schedule but they just put it in. It was like manna from heaven when I saw it. As I entered him I thought 'Robbie will jump out in front and make all'. So he just did what I thought when I entered him. He's a bit of an idiot to do things with at the races but he was better today. He got very upset in the stalls the last day and tried to climb out. Robbie got permission to go in late today. Hopefully he'll just keep improving.
