Rakan Three-horse races are notorious and he’s an extremely idle colt. He had a hold up over the winter so he’s only on his way back. He needed the run in the Derrinstown and I think he’ll progress a lot from today’s run. He got there to win easy and got a bit tired again,. Ideally what he’d love is a real true run race where you can ride him from off the pace and produce him. We’ll see how he comes out of this race and speak to the owner but the Irish Derby is a definite possibility — the logical place to go with him. I’m happy because there is plenty of improvement in this horse. It was a workmanlike performance, and the ground doesn’t really matter for him. He’s a good actioned horse and handles good to firm ground well. That’s lovely ground out there and perfect for every horse. He’s bone idle and that’s why he’s difficult to get fit. He does absolutely nothing at home.

Red Striker Today was genuinely only a fact-finding day. He's done a few pieces of work but we're only learning about him like everyone else. Colin said they went no gallop, which, in hindsight, wouldn't have suited him but he liked the ground, which is a positive. We thought at home that a mile and two furlongs is no problem to him, I'd say in time when we step him up into a higher grade of a race and they go a good honest gallop, that might suit him. He was honest today and we'll take the positives out of it. Fitness-wise he'll improve - we definitely haven't cooked him - and it was a good day out for him.

Tirmizi He's not the most straightforward . We bought him a year and a half ago at the Champions Weekend Sale and the owner has been very patient with him and I think he'll have plenty fun with him through the year. He got murdered at Leopardstown the last day when I thought he'd have been involved and was staying at it well. He'll tip away in handicaps and we might consider hurdling if the handicapper catches up with him. He has size and scope and that was at a level he was entitled to win at today.

Fresnel I'm always conscious not to push the fillies too much before we get them to the track but her work had been good,. Everything I'd worked her with she'd had their measure but as I said I like to leave a little bit for the track. She showed me what I thought she was capable of here. She's still got a little bit of growing to do. She's not the biggest, she's still not fully mature, so for her to tough it out from the front in that headwind is a testament to her. I'd imagine she'll get a mile-and-a-half in time so we were keen to make plenty of use of her today over a mile. We'll take her up gradually and slowly. We'll see how she recovers and take it from there. I have my full licence about a year. I came from a breeding background then I got on the Godolphin course and really got into the training and racing side of things. It's what really excited me. I made the decision to go down that route and worked for some good people and got some good experience. I've got 12 in now and I'm keeping the head down and trying to get a system in place at home. It's great to see the result on the track as it gives you great confidence and belief. It's all about winners and results and there is no better way to advertise myself and the team.
