Galway Tue, 6th Oct, 2026  Tomahawk Juke To be honest, I never had called him a bumper horse all along and kept saying to my father that he was lacking a gear for bumpers. He is a beautiful, big imposing horse and is a cool customer though. He didn't pick up the bridle at all but he stayed really well and is a grand horse. He was cheaply bought by the lads for €3,000 and we're in a nice position now, as he will make a nice hurdler next season. We will keep him to bumpers and I won't be in any rush with him now.

Ballinrobe Mon, 24th Aug, 2026  Princess Felicia she'd a good first run for us in Clonmel last year but has small feet and the ground went for her. Her owner Andria and Johnny Cummins do some pre-training, so took her home for the winter. When she came back to me, she'd got a lot stronger and it took just a while to get her ready. She was just nabbed in Tramore and the longer trip suited her here. She's a grand filly who likes a bit of nice ground, and will go for something similar next.

Sligo Wed, 19th Aug, 2026  Strong Contender I'm delighted with her because we ran her back a little bit quick after Wexford, and the ground turned out to be a bit softer than ideal. She's only a slight mare, 15 '3, and the better ground at Wexford was more to her liking. It was a messy race, and she got squeezed on the home turn, but toughed it out well. She was well bought by Michael Hogan (owner) because she's by a good sire and is a half-sister to a Grade 1-placed horse. We'll give her three weeks now and find something else - we'll keep her to the country tracks for now.

Tramore Fri, 14th Aug, 2026  Anyway He'd lost his way a little bit and the small-runner field suited him today with no hustle and bustle,. He got his own way and was in great form. Darragh said he never felt him as well since Cheltenham. After that, he just wasn't himself but he's actually been working really well lately. It's a good confidence booster and he'll come on for it too. I'll speak to the owners and see where we go next.

Wexford Fri, 7th Aug, 2026  Get It Girl She improved from last year. She was very green in Thurles and jumped the road twice,. I went down early today to go over the roads and she was fine. She was like a motorbike around the bends and we were able to stay really tight on fresh ground on the very inside. She was tough, she won hands and heels. She has a lovely pedigree, my mother bred her. She’s a half-sister to Blackstairmountain. She likes that very good ground and she obviously wears a tongue-strap. Whether we go for a winners' bumper or go jumping with her, we’ll have to decide. One of the girls who owns her, Emma (Lawrie), it’s her birthday (owns along with sisters Heather and Hazel). They are staying in Wexford so they’ll enjoy it.

Wexford Fri, 7th Aug, 2026  Strong Contender It’s great to get that. We had a run of a lot of bad horses over the last year-and-a-half and it’s been tough going,. She’s a grand little filly and she’ll progress away. Hopefully there is another day in her. She belongs to a great owner and he’s been with me since the start, others have come and went. Any day you get a winner for Michael Hogan is a great day. It’s a testament to the lads at home and their great work. We have a small team and we’re trying to climb up again, we had an awful bad run of things. It’s nice to get back. We have a few nice horses at home and hopefully we’ll get a few again. When we have them we’re able to do them but you need the ammunition. Small yards are struggling. Conor gave her a super ride. He rode her from the back, we rode her a bit too prominently in Ballinrobe and made a mistake. He gave her a great ride today.
