Fairyhouse Mon, 6th Apr, 2026  Slade Steel He was actually running a blinder this year in Punchestown and got brought down at the fourth last and, just his auld confidence went a little bit again. I thought he ran well at Cheltenham the last day, It was a great call by everyone to bring him back over hurdles and, cheekpieces on for the first time. We’re really happy with that, delighted for the horse. He was a bit unlucky at Punchestown at Christmas to get brought down and he just didn’t seem to love the old chasing so we’d said we’d pop back to hurdling. It’s great for Robcour, the horse and everybody.

I thought the horses that were favourite might have more pace than our horse, and that we’d probably end up being second or third. . I was wrong and I’m happy! . He might have made a mistake at the last, but he was foot perfect before that. . I think we have a chaser with a bit of ability. That’s probably where he’s going to go now. . He might have one more run over hurdles. He’s only five and it might be a bit unusual to jump a fence at that age, but I think that’s where he’s going. . He loves soft ground and in a month’s time you probably won’t get it.  . There was a bit of a cloud over the yard for along time and along with the horse that won yesterday, they were the two that avoided it most.

Down Royal Tue, 20th Jan, 2026  Green Hope I got my licence there in the middle of December, so it has been a long time coming! I thought I might be able to click before now, but sure we got there in the end. I'm not one for dissing jockeys, but the ride that Danny gave him was the ride he was supposed to get the last day. I was concerned about the rain coming, but he seemed to cope with it. I'm a bit of an outcast, I'm down in County Armagh!. I've had point-to-point winners. I've been a satellite yard for Stuart (Crawford, brother) for a few years and now I've branched out. I've about 20 horses in.
