Downpatrick Fri, 8th May, 2026  Sea Of Doubt Josh said they went a really good gallop, and always knew he was going to get there. He gave her a great ride. He is well worth his 5lb claim and is in with us every Monday for the last six months. He is a good young lad, works hard and we are happy to be able to use him. We were disappointed with her last year when it just took her a long time to learn how to race and she had plenty of good runs without winning. She was either be too keen or jump badly, whereas she put it all together today. She'll mix and match over fences for the summer and this is a good start.

Downpatrick Fri, 8th May, 2026  Endless Talking He made the running in his point-to-point as well and he's quite a free, forward-going horse. He actually settled lovely in front and had a good look at his hurdles. Jumped well, jumped a bit big everywhere but he had plenty of time to get a good breather into him. Absolutely (could build his confidence) and loves that good ground.

Tramore Mon, 20th Apr, 2026  Just For One That's my second track winner. I had my first on Winter Fog (April, 2021). His last two runs were disappointing, but we knew he was back in good form. He had a very good run at Limerick over Christmas. We ran him at Gowran then and we shouldn't have ran him on the heavy ground there. He scoped dirty after his run the last day. The lads riding him at home said he was flying. The trip was a bit sharp for him today, but he stayed on well up the hill. He's work at home has been very good.

Fairyhouse Mon, 6th Apr, 2026  Charismatic Kid He’s a very good horse. We brought him to Cheltenham and didn’t run him because of the ground. We think he’s a proper horse but you have to go and do it on the track,. We rode him wrong the first day, we dropped him in, but we let him stride on today. He’s massive. Bringing him over (to Cheltenham) and not running him was probably the best thing I ever done. He’s a great jumper, a nice horse. I’d imagine that’ll be him for the year and he’ll be a lovely hurdler next year.

Clonmel Thu, 26th Feb, 2026  Brown Boots The betting was a lot more confident than I was, so there was pressure!. He is a nice horse who is coming the right way and won nicely in Navan, with the runner-up being just beaten at Fairyhouse the other day. He hadn't that many fences jumped going to Navan, but he jumped very well and it takes a bit of winning there. That is testing ground today, but he seemed to handle it away. He was well-in and I'm delighted it has come off. We'll work away with him now over both codes and he is a nice solid type of horse. His owner John Murray, from Shinrone, is a good supporter of mine and was involved with Snugsborough Benny with me in the past.

To be honest now, first run in a handicap, first run over fences, you are always nervous. The main thing is to get around. Probably wasn't a wonderful race and Brian was very happy with the way he jumped; he said he jumped super. It was nice to get it, and he is a nice horse going forward. Yes (unexposed) and hopefully (bit of scope). He surprised me now because I walked it (ground) and I thought it was horrible enough but look he handled it and I'm happy with his jumping. Brian is a very good lad and he works hard. He's a good team player.
