Cork Sun, 30th Aug, 2026  Lauderdale King He was crying out for a bit of ease in the ground so we fancied him today when we got a bit of rain,. He ran well in Leopardstown but the ground was a bit quick for him. Hopefully he'll get another one in that grade. He jumps well and he'll go over hurdles. He's a grand horse. He did what we expected today.

Goodwood Fri, 31st Jul, 2026  Shayem We don’t have to lead, but we knew Billy (Loughnane, riding Catullus) was going to go off a nice gallop and Cliff was the only one really to keep tabs on the leader,. Last year, you would have said that he was a soft ground horse but he has proven otherwise this year. We had no qualms about the ground or the track as he handled the undulations at Newmarket well. Cliff is very good with his fractions. It was a great performance and Abdulrazaq (Mohamdi, owner) will be delighted as he’s a homebred horse as well. He’s a great supporter of ours from Dubai. There is a nice race at Kentucky Downs for him in September and one at Colonial Downs as well. I don’t think they are Grade Ones but they are very valuable races and if if we don’t go there, we could come back for the Celebration Mile.

Cork Tue, 19th May, 2026  Maggie Walker She is a lovely filly who Amy (Marnane, niece) bought (for €6,500) and my brother Ed recommended the stallion King Of Change, so between the two of them they came up trumps. I personally thought she would be a seven-furlong or a mile filly, but she showed class today. She hadn't done much at home but she had breezed really well, so it wasn't a surprise she won. The third (Desert Alchemist) also ran well as he was giving lots of weight away. It was a lovely first run, he was eye-catching and will be fine.
