Effernock Lad I thought the ground might have dried up too much for him as he likes a good cut in it,. He’s a very consistent horse and we’ve had him since he was a three-year-old. We intended to win a point-to-point and sell him but he never won a point-to-point and has won seven now on the track. He’s probably better over fences and he’s better handicapped over hurdles. He’s got a bad old cut and hopefully he’s alright. I think a horse jumped into him. For some reason they are running out of their skin this year. We have a few nice ones on the Flat and they are healthy and well.

Eloy D'amerval He showed us from day one that he was a nice horse, and he came here for a barrier trial and won that easy. He was beating everything we had at home, and if he was beaten we would have been disappointed,. The boys (Frankie and Brian Duffy, owner/breeders) would like to sell if they could as they have the half-sister Mean Fomhair that won in Roscommon which they can keep as a broodmare. They lost the dam last year with colic. I’d say he wouldn’t want it any faster than it was today, and he’d probably like a little print in the ground. Six would be a little sharp for him, and he’d be better over seven.
