FormscanBy Michael Graham - GENOIS kept the winning favourite more than honest when second at Wexford. There should be races to be won over fences with him. When he won his maiden hurdle at Naas last year, his trainer commented that he is a chaser down the line. Sole Pretender is a 150-rated hurdler who has to be given maximum respect on chasing debut. He certainly knows where the winning post is having won seven of his 14 races under rules including a Grade 3 over flights. This is very much his favourite track as he has won three times in Ballinrobe. Eskylane is rated 4lb inferior to Sole Pretender over hurdles. This former point-to-point winner is another to consider on his first crack at racecourse fences. Shanwalla won his last two hurdle races, but has been off since last July which makes this a tough assignment.
