FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MT LEINSTER might be able to turn form with Easywork and win today. MT LEINSTER was a smart bumper type and while he ultimately won just once in that sphere, ran a promising race on hurdles debut at Gowran in November when staying on well close home to be beaten 1.5L by Easywork. Both horses won impressively on their next respective starts and while MT LEINSTER needs to find 1.5L today, he might be capable of doing so, and some more, given that the Gowran race, where both horses made their jumping debuts, was MT LEINSTER's seasonal debut and he may have shown a little progression when winning at Leopardstown over Christmas. Easywork himself was a thoroughly impressive winner of a useful Hurdle race at Limerick over Christmas and clearly comes here with every chance. That Limerick race was over 2m4f and while he could possibly be more effective over a longer trip in time, nonetheless beat the selection over today's trip at Gowran. Asterion Forlonge made heavy weather of winning an ordinary bumper at Thurles bumper in November but showed much improved from when winning his maiden hurdle at Naas last month. He has the size to make a chaser in time and while today's race is a big step up in class, he could go well and reach the placings. Cheltenham Festival Bumper runner-up Blue Sari was reported to be blowing hard post-race having disappointed badly here at Christmas and comes here on a retrieval mission and is probably best watched for now. Conflated is capable but has already been soundly beaten twice in Grade 2 and Grade 1 company while Jason The Militant has shown useful form but needs to improve a lot (he received 7lbs from the neck runner-up in a maiden hurdle at Limerick over Christmas) to win today. The Little Yank is useful but is out of his depth today.
