FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Joseph O'Brien has two in here and I'll row in behind his sister Sarah's THERMISTOCLES. The Oscar gelding fell on his only start over the larger obstacles, that coming in a race populated by very decent sorts such as Royal Rendezvous, Milan Native and Discordantly. That came at Thurles in November and there's been plenty of time for schooling with Thermistocles in the meantime. The eight-year-old hasn't been hitting the heights over hurdles since but the company he'll be keeping here is much less taxing. Several of these look capable of making an impression, and the selection's stable companion Ellipsism starts off over fences. He could be sweetened up by the change in code, and he wasn't a bad handicap hurdler at his own level on his day.
