FormscanBy Tom Weekes - FLOUEUR is a thoroughly interesting runner and can win on his return to Ireland. Born in France, he has yoyoed between Ireland and France and having debuted for Liz Doyle when finishing third in a useful Sligo Bumper last April, subsequently was sold to join trainer Mikael Mescam in France, where he won twice over hurdles at Nancy and top jumps venue Autueil. Both those wins, in October and November, were gained on heavy ground at today's trip and while he races from a rating of 135 and top weight today, should give his sporting new owner Gordon Elliott (the horse went unsold for E115,000 at Arqana last November) plenty to cheer. Stablemate Tronador was an ordinary flat performer in Britain but has shown useful ability over hurdles, where he shaped like a stayer, and won over two furlongs shorter at Thurles eight days ago. Davy Russell, who rides Floueur, is clearly unable to ride Tronador at 10st2lbs but Tronador could a slight preference for a sounder surface and faces a stiffer task today. Cayd Boy was second in a winners' of one race at Gowran in November and while the winner of that Gowran race disappointed subsequently, Cayd Boy is clearly capable and should go well as a proven heavy ground horse. Peaches And Cream was eased in the closing stages when landing a Leopardstown handicap over Christmas and while raised 8lbs, is now also without Christmas' winning 7lbs claiming jockey, which should also count against him. Argumental has shown useful form but was fortunate to beat the unlucky-in-running runner-up at Limerick and faces a stiffer task today.%0A
