He has just kept improving all year and I don't know why. He's a lovely little horse and some attitude, so he has. . We will probably go to Naas now for the two-mile handicap, I used to call it the November Handicap, I think it is in October now. We had planned to go there and he is entered in it anyway. If he gets in, he will probably take his chance. . He has been an unbelievable horse for us all. . He has a serious pedigree, but as an individual he wasn't much to look at. I remember when he came to the yard one day, the fella took him out of the box and one of the lads said 'what is he by?' He says 'by Kalanisi' and the lad said to put him back in the box and take him with him! I remember the next morning, when I saw him, I was inclined toagree with him as well! . It is what is under the bonnet that counts. It is just unbelievable. . He was third in the big one at Galway(GPT) and then second on the Sunday and he didn't run his race on Sunday because he never travelled. I thought he was going to be tailed off and the next thing he finished second. Whatever it was, the ground being dead, but he just never travelled. . Eoghan rode as an amateur for us and he won on him as an amateur in Punchestown. I thought with the size of him (Ragmans Corner) the 7lb off would help. Looking at it there, we probably didn't need it!

They are a local syndicate,. He's a grand horse and has kept improving all along from the early days when he was a bit backward and weak. It was a competitive race and he probably was entitled to be near favourite on his last run. He had a little setback in Punchestown and he bled that day for some reason. We didn't really find a lot wrong, but we gave him a month off. He just probably needed it in Roscommon the last day, he just tied up in the last furlong.

he’s a grand little horse and is only learning how to race now really. He used to run on his nerves a lot and we’ll probably mix it with the Flat now if we can. We might give him a shot in Dundalk. He’s going to get a hike for that and whether he’s good enough to go to the next level, I don’t know. It was a fairly ordinary race, and it fell apart. The ground was tacky, and we didn’t know if he would go on it or not. He’s a well-bred horse and is going the right way. He has a bit of scope and may even jump a fence on spring ground.

He was a bit unlucky in Ballinrobe and Jack felt he didn't handle the track in Downpatrick,. This race looked winnable on his two runs before that. He was fourth in a maiden here on the Flat, and that was a very good run. He's a grand little horse, he was weak and took time but he's improving all the time. Jack said there are a couple more days in him. We'll try and get a mark with him on the Flat, he probably wouldn't be good enough to win a maiden but should be able to compete on the Flat at some stage. I'd say he's not a horse that will jump a fence, he's a bit small. When we ran him on maidens he ran well on winter ground but that would be his ground there. He shows nothing at home and it's very hard to be confident coming here with him. You'd be getting him scoped and taking bloods before he runs because boys were thinking he's dead in himself all week. I was thinking would I run him or not but the bloods were perfect so I said I'd take the chance.
