Formscan By Alan Magee - ALGHAZAAL showed some promise on debut behind Tiger Moth in what turned out to be arguably the best maiden run this year at Leopardstown back in June, and showed his ability to handle soft ground when just denied again over ten furlongs at Cork a fortnight ago. The Teofilo colt has every chance on pedigree of seeing out this longer trip. Alatar is a serious threat as he has already run to a mark of 81 when a creditable third in a handicap over course and distance on testing ground. However, the Michael Halford-trained gelding needs to bounce back after a disappointing run at Leopardstown. Vultan and Pyramid Rock are others to consider.
