Permission was given for Dream By Day (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted in the chute; for Rebel Star (GB) and Suanni (GB) to both wear a red hood to the start.
The Starter reported that Dream By Day (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 4:00pm.
Mark Pattinson was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Dream By Day (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
Unavailable (GB), drawn 6, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Pop Dancer (IRE), placed third, reared as the stalls opened and was slowly away as a result.
