Rounding the first bend the free running Ceira G (IRE), unplaced, improved its position on the rail at the same time as Hidden Verse (IRE), unplaced, shifted marginally left-handed, causing the rider of Ceira G (IRE) to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Private Island (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 24 January 2025 where the filly finished seventh of eight runners beaten by 16 ½ lengths.
The explanation given by the representative of Sir Mark Prescott that Private Island (GB) had previously been a fractious filly however, on this occasion had seemed more settled in the preliminaries, was noted.
Private Island (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Connor Planas reported that Belabambina (GB), unplaced, was slowly away and jumped right-handed from the stalls.
William Cox reported that Risk (IRE), placed third, hung badly left-handed.
