Permission was given for White Ladder (IRE) to be led early to post.
Inside the final half furlong the winner, Demetrius (GB), hung left-handed despite the rider’s best efforts to correct his mount, causing Mossvale Diva (IRE), placed second, to be moved marginally off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Demetrius (GB).
The performance of White Ladder (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Archie Watson’s representative’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the undulating nature of the track on this occasion, was noted.
The Veterinary Officer examined White Ladder (IRE) post-race and had nothing to report.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that the winner, Demetrius (GB), hung left-handed.
