An enquiry was held to consider two instances of interference involving the winner, Cotai Belle (IRE), ridden by Billy Garritty, Coparisi (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Tom Eaves, Dakota Dawn (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart, and MAHMAS AIR FORCE (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Cosgrave.
In the first incident, 1½ furlongs out, Cosgrave was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as he had manoeuvred left-handed when insufficiently clear, putting pressure on Dakota Dawn (IRE) and causing the filly to be short of room and severely checked on the rail for several strides.
In the second incident approaching the final furlong, the interference was found to be accidental as Garritty’s mount had shifted quickly left- handed causing Coparisi (GB) to shy away and shift left-handed onto MAHMAS AIR FORCE (IRE) who was crowded for room.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Dakota Dawn (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference 1½ furlongs out.
Pat Cosgrave reported that Mehmas Air Force (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong.
