Permission was given for Roarin' Success (GB) to wear a red hood to post; Arisaig (GB) wore earplugs throughout the preliminaries which were removed upon arrival at the start.
Approaching 2 furlongs out, ROARIN’ SUCCESS, placed fourth, rolled slightly left-handed, just as the winner, Rainbows Edge (GB), had improved into a tight but legitimate gap between ROARIN’ SUCCESS and Finsceal Luas (IRE), placed fifth, which resulted in Rainbows Edge (GB) making contact with the quarters of ROARIN’ SUCCESS who become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Rainbows Edge (GB).
