Permission was given for Claim That Smile (GB) to be mounted in the chute and for Mister Mcgregor (IRE) and Mrs Dowley (IRE) to both wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the riding of Dance Recital (IRE), ridden by Hollie Doyle and trained by Michael Keady, up the home straight.
Doyle reported that Dance Recital (IRE) hung very badly left- handed to the point that she was unable to ride the filly out, and having moved onto the rail, she reported that in the interest of both the filly’s and her safety, she felt it prudent to focus on keeping the filly in a straight line, therefore continuing to ride without vigour to the line.
Doyle’s explanation was noted.
Inside the final furlong, Mister Mcgregor (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed despite its riders best efforts, which resulted in Mayday Mayday (IRE), unplaced, being moved off its intended line and its rider having to stop riding for a number of strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Dance Recital (IRE), unplaced, hung badly left-handed and Hayley Turner reported that Mister Mcgregor (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed in the home straight.
