Permission was given for Many Men (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approximately 1/2 furlongs out, Novelista (IRE), placed second, shifted sharply left-handed before being corrected moving Renato (GB), unplaced, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and and that it had not improved the placing of Novelista (IRE).
Approaching 1 furlong out, Way Of Stars (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed moving both Renato (GB), unplaced, and Pole Star (GB), placed sixth, off their intended lines, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Way Of Stars (IRE).
Following the race, Edward Greatrex reported that Anniversary (GB), placed fifth, stumbled leaving the stalls and was slow into stride as a result, William Cox reported that Scarlet Moon (GB), unplaced, ran too free and hung right-handed and the Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post-race and had nothing to report.
Adam Farragher reported that Novelista (IRE), placed second, hung left-handed under pressure.
