The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.J.Martin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bruant (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. A.J.Martin attributed the apparent improvement in form to being that his charge was brought down three runs ago and has since regained confidence. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards which at entry are rated 110 or less
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 8lbs 5-y-o and up 10st 13lbs
Penalties - Horses that at entry have a published rating - for every 1lb above the rating of 95 1lb extra Horses that at entry have a performance rating of 96-100 5lb extra Horses that at entry have a performance rating of 101-105 10lb extra Horses that at entry have a performance rating of 106-110 15lb extra After time of entry - for each race won 7lb extra
Riders - Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 N.H. winners in the 2024/2025 season (Qualified Riders are excluded from riding in this race). Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 110 or less at time of entry.
