Permission was given for Star Chorus (IRE) to go early to post.
Approximately ½ furlong out Fallen Soldier (IRE), placed third, hung quickly right-handed, taking Winchurch (IRE), placed fifth, off its intended line, leaving the colt momentarily short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fallen Soldier (IRE).
Following the race, William Carver reported that Em Four (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed inside the final ½ furlong and Alistair Rawlinson reported that Winchurch (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away and denied a clear run inside the final ½ furlong.
