Permission was given for Tommytwohoots (GB) and Blackbrook (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Poet (GB), drawn 1, ridden by Taryn Langley.
The rider and the Starters were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that the gelding was prevented from starting on equal terms due to the horse becoming restless and attempting to sit down in the stalls, prior to the start being affected, resulting in the gelding being in an awkward position against the side of the stalls, with the rider holding on to the side of the stalls as the start was affected, and therefore not being in a position to start the race on equal terms, and ordered that Poet (GB) be declared a non-runner.
