John Oxx's Ponfeigh will drop down to 10 furlongs for the Meld Stakes at the Curragh next weekend.

Oxx feels the grey failed to stay a mile and a half in the Irish Derby, where he finished fourth behind Australia.

He had previously won his two races before that impressively over a mile, and Oxx expects him to perform much better.

"Ponfeigh has recovered well from his run in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby when he clearly did not see out the mile and a half trip," said Oxx.

"Ten furlongs is his trip and we look forward to a big run from him."

Oxx has also committed My Titania to the Kilboy Estate Stakes after her solid run at Royal Ascot behind Rizeena.

"She's in fine form and ready to take up the challenge," he said.
