'He could be one for the Loughbrown Stakes' - Saratoga strikes for Aidan O'Brien Saratoga (6/4f) exploited a mark of 80 in the Jet, Peggy & Eamonn O´Carroll Memorial Handicap over an extended 1m6f at Listowel to seal doubles for Aidan O'Brien and Wayne Lordan. The duo bookended the card as they were also responsible for 9/4 favourite Straight Up in the opener. The Camelot colt was well in charge in the straight and sailed in by a comfortable length and a-half from Kilmeaden who kept on to come through for second at 5/1. Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: "We had thought a bit of him for a while and he had a lovely first run as a two-year-old in Killarney. "He had three lovely runs in maidens and the handicapper gave him a mark of 80, which we thought he was very nicely treated off. This race presented itself at the right time and going up in trip suited. "He stays very well, his pedigree gets better with time and it is nice to get him off the mark. He could be one for the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh next." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
