The build-up to the record-breaking autumn on Newmarket´s Rowley Mile, which will see 18 Group Races, including seven Group Ones, run during a period of just 22 days, continues today with details of the latest acceptors for seven of the Group races - four from the transferred Ascot meeting and three from the totesport Cambridgeshire meeting.

A total of 25 horses go forward for the #200,000 Group One Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (sponsored by Barclays Bank Plc), the highlight of the programme on Saturday, September 24.

Last year´s brilliant winner Rakti is among the acceptors but is likely to face some stiff opposition as he bids to hold on to his crown with the likes of Godolphin´s Dubawi, triumphant in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville last time, Sussex Stakes hero Proclamation, and Maids Causeway, the courageous scorer in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot at York, also still engaged.

Further interest comes in the form of Aidan O´Brien Oratorio, not seen out since his defeat of Motivator in the Eclipse, and ex-Australian performer Starcraft, who showed his true colours for Luca Cumani when landing the Group One Prix du Moulin at Longchamp on September 4.

Several leading fillies also go forward including Attraction, recent Celebration Mile scorer Chic and Virginia Waters, heroine of the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas.

32 Go Forward For Meon Valley Stud Fillies´ Mile

The other Group One race from the transferred Ascot meeting is the #175,000 Meon Valley Stud Fillies´ Mile, also run on Saturday, September 24, for which 32 of the best staying juvenile miles go forward following the latest confirmation stage.

Aidan O´Brien is well-represented with four entries including recent Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes victor Rumplestiltskin and impressive Tralee maiden winner Alexandrova while Chenchikova, an unraced half-sister to the 2002 Derby winner High Chaparral, could prove to be an interesting contender.

Owners the Sangster family and trainer John Gosden were successful in the 2004 renewal of this race with Playful Act and could be represented this time around by Pure Illusion, an impressive maiden winner on the July Course last month.

Another filly who caught the eye when taking her maiden by six lengths at Newmarket on August 26 was Short Skirt, trained by Sir Michael Stoute.

25 IN totesport.com Royal Lodge Stakes

The main juvenile contest for colts from the transferred Ascot meeting is the #70,000 Group Two totesport.com Royal Lodge Stakes, for which 50 acceptors go forward.

Aidan O´Brien still has a dozen to choose from for the mile contest, run on Sunday, September 25, including Horatio Nelson, unbeaten in three starts including the Group Three Weatherbys Superlative Stakes at the July Meeting as well as the Group Two Futurity Stakes at the Curragh and Ivan Denisovich, successful in the Group Two TNT July Stakes at Newmarket.

Leading the home-trained challenge is Marcus Tregoning´s Sir Percy, who is unbeaten in three starts including the Group Two Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on his latest start while another interesting contender is Primary, who has won both his starts and could provide David Loder with final big-race success before his retirement from training.

totepool Diadem Stakes Has 31 Acceptors

The big sprint at the transferred Ascot meeting is the #80,000 Group Two GNER Diadem Stakes, run over six furlongs on Sunday, September 25.

Included among the 31 acceptors is Iffraaj, the impressive winner of the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot at York but not seen out since running disappointingly in the Darley July Cup.

Of the others that ran in the Darley July Cup, Etlaala (3rd), Soldiers Tale (4th), Balmont (5th) and Ashdown Express (6th) could all reoppose one another.

Other leading contenders include La Cucaracha, heroine of the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month and runner-up to Goodricke in the William Hill Sprint Cup at Haydock, where Fayr Jag showed a return to form in finishing fifth.

French-based Englishman John Hammond is always to be respected when he sends over a runner to Britain and he could run Ratio, who dead-heated with Fayr Jag in the 2003 Wokingham at Royal Ascot.

Flashy Wings Heads 30 In Sky Bet Cheveley Park Stakes

Mick Channon´s Flashy Wings, undefeated in her four outings to date, heads the 30 acceptors for the #170,000 Group One Sky Bet Cheveley Park Stakes, run over six furlongs at Newmarket on Thursday, September 29, the opening day of the totesport Cambridgeshire meeting.

The Zafonic filly could not have been more impressive on her last two starts in the Group Two Queen Mary Stakes and the Group Two Lowther Stakes and heads straight for the Sky Bet Cheveley Park Stakes having bypassed the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last Sunday. The Curragh race was won by Aidan O´Brien´s Rumplestiltskin, who is also among the acceptors.

Mick Channon could also run Silca´s Sister. The daughter of Inchinor is already a Group One winner, having taken on the colts and claimed the notable scalp of Ivan Denisovich in the Prix Morny at Deauville on August 21.

Donna Blini was last seen out when taking the Group Two Chippenham Lodge Cherry Hinton Stakes at the July Meeting where Salut d´Amour was possibly a unlucky in finishing second and the duo could meet again in this contest.

George Washington Among 30 Acceptors For Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes

George Washington, the ante-post favourite for the 2006 UltimatePoker.com 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, is one of 26 acceptors for the #170,000 Group One Shadwell Stud Middle Stakes, the highlight of the second day of the totesport Cambridgeshire meeting on Friday, September 30.

After finishing third on his debut at Newmarket back in May, George Washington has won all of his three subsequent starts, including the Group One Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last month, when he was successful by eight lengths. His trainer Aidan O´Brien has six others going forward, including Horatio Nelson and Ivan Denisovich.

Red Clubs has claimed one of the season´s best juvenile contests with landing the Group Two Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot at York although he had to settle for second place in the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes at York, when finding Amadeus Wolf, also an acceptor in this contest, too strong.

Attraction And Chic On Course For Re-Match In Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes

Last year was the first time that the #200,000 Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes was run as a Group One contest and produced a thrilling finish with Attraction just prevailing by a neck from Chic.

Both fillies are still engaged for this year´s renewal, run on totesport Cambridgeshire day, Saturday, October 1, with Chic having recently landed her second Celebration Mile at Goodwood and Attraction due to run in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.

With the likes of Irish contender Alexander Goldrun, a Group One winner in four different countries, multiple Group One scorer Soviet Song and the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas heroine Virginia Water also engaged, the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes will certainly live up to its Group One status.
