8-13 Kauto Star Looks To Be Scaring Off The Opposition

KAUTO STAR opened up at 8-1 on Betfair on Monday for the William Hill Tingle Creek, but he is now into 8-13 as the Betfair betting suggests he is scaring off most of the opposition.

The only horse being seriously backed against the impressive Betfair Chase winner is Voy Por Ustedes on the 10-3 mark, but it is 18-1 bar the pair, which brings in the Irish duo Fota Island and Central House.

Foreman has been backed at less than 11-2 on Betfair but he is currently trading at 43-1, which suggests he could be an unlikely runner on Saturday. Similar comments apply to Ashley Brook and Dempsey, available at 38-1 and 69-1 respectively.

Betfair spokesman Eoin Ryan said: 'Timeform rated Kauto Star 184+ after his scintillating Betfair Chase win, so it´s hardly a surprise that connections of other entries in the race are shying away from a fight with one of the best staying chasers for decades.

And, as he showed last year, he is no slouch over 2m either.'
