A look ahead to Limerick tomorrow Slowmotion bids for a hat-trick over fences when lining up in the Charleville Cheese EBF Mares Novice Chase at Limerick on Sunday. Joseph O'Brien's charge took a while to click into gear when scoring in Listed company at Naas last month and connections now step her up to two-mile-six-furlongs for the Grade Two prize. The French-bred has also taken time to get her jumping together over the larger obstacles but looks on an upward curve and improved last time at the Kildare venue. She is already a Grade Two winner over timber for owner JP McManus and appears to have been found a nice opportunity to add another win at this level to her haul. Chief danger would appear to be the Willie Mullins-trained Daisy's Gift, who has to find 6lb on official terms. The Presenting mare has also had her jumping issues over fences and comes into the race having fallen at Thurles last time. She had run well at the same venue previously, however, when chasing home stablemate Westerner Lady and on that showing she has to be a big player. Mullins saddles Kate Appleby Shoes in the Grade Three Kerry Group EBF Shannon Spray Mares Novice Hurdle and will also be hoping a step up in trip brings about improvement. The Flemensfirth mare looked a smart prospect when taking bumpers at Gowran and Limerick by wide margins two seasons ago. She was placed twice over hurdles on her return this year before opening her account at Clonmel last month. The hotpot just got up in the dying strides then so, again, it is no surprise to see her jumping up in trip. The two-mile-six-furlong event looks a competitive contest. Green Lady, who took her maiden in good style at Punchestown last month, is an interesting rival. She was held under a penalty in a handicap since but seemed to run into an improver in Peace N' Milan then. The two-mile-six-furlong maiden hurdle on the card could be at the mercy of Mon Lino. Paul Nolan's charge chased home Call The Taxie in a better race at Thurles on his last run and looks to have a bit in hand of his rivals off a mark of 118.
