Abbaye the plan for Sole Power Sole Power remains on course for the Qatar Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp next month as long as the ground is suitable. Things did not go to plan for Edward Lynam's speedster at the Merseyside track but he did win the Group Two Temple Stakes there in May and was the 100-1 victor of the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York last summer, both over the minimum trip. "It just didn't work out at Haydock, but he's fine," said the County Meath trainer. "He'll go for the French race next if the ground is OK. That's the plan."
