Afsare blamed for Fallon split Kieren Fallon believes that Afsare's failure to enter the stalls has cost him the ride on Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum's horses. It was announced on Wednesday that Fallon would no longer be riding horses owned by the Sheikh whose principal trainer is Luca Cumani. Fallon believes Afsare's reluctance to enter the stalls at Goodwood and the defeat of Danadana at Sandown are behind the split. "Nobody said anything to me," he told The Daily Telegraph. "But I suspect it's over Afsare and Danadana. At Goodwood, Afsare didn't have his Monty Roberts head collar, and at Sandown, Danadana didn't like the ground." Sheikh Obaid owns around a quarter of Cumani's string but Fallon confirmed that he will continue to ride for the Newmarket handler, adding: "I'm still riding for Luca."
