Ainsi aiming for Shannon Spray Ainsi Va La Vie could bid to get her season back on track in the Kerry Group EBF Shannon Spray Mares Novice Hurdle at Limerick on Sunday week. The Willie Mullins-trained mare carried the colours of the Supreme Horse Racing Club to three consecutive bumper victories earlier in the campaign, completing her hat-trick in a Listed contest at Gowran Park. However, she was a beaten odds-on favourite on her hurdling debut at Galway in October and although she rediscovered the winning trail at Thurles the following month, she has since been well beaten in Graded races at Limerick and Fairyhouse. Steve Massey, racing manager for the owners, said: "She was a little bit disappointing on her last run, so we've freshened her up and are hopeful she'll bounce back on better ground in the spring. "Probably her most impressive bumper performance was her debut at Limerick on good ground and she's not had chance to run on it again since. "There's a Grade Three mares' novice at Limerick at the end of Cheltenham week that could suit, but let Willie decide where he wants to go with her. "She's a high-class mare and we don't feel we've seen the best of her over hurdles yet."
