Alanza travels in search of better ground when she lines up in the Group Two Betfred Hungerford Stakes at Newbury tomorrow.

John Oxx's filly hasn't been seen in action since failing to figure on soft ground in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket last month and connections are hoping for better conditions now.

The Aga Khan's daughter of Dubai Destination had previously been a cosy winner of the Group 3 Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown.

That was on good to soft, which is the easiest ground that she has scored on.

Jockey Niall McCullagh told At The Races: "I'm looking forward to it.

"We have to travel to Newbury because she likes quick ground and we can't get any in Ireland.

"I won on her in a Listed race in Cork on fast ground and she just doesn't show her form unless it's quick.

"Hopefully Newbury stays as it is and she might show her true ability."
