Alasha set to bypass Epsom

Leading Vodafone Oaks fancy Alasha is a doubtful runner for the Epsom Classic, it has been revealed.

Sir Michael Stoute`s filly finished a good third in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas to earn a general 8-1 quote for the Oaks.

But after the Newmarket Classic, jockey Johnny Murtagh reported the Aga Khan`s charge had not been suited by the undulations on the Rowley Mile.

And speaking at Lingfield Park today Stoute said: 'The track at Epsom won`t suit her.

'I don`t know where she`ll go next - possibly the Irish 1000 Guineas or the Prix de Diane (French Oaks).'
