Alfa Beat set for four miler Trainer Charles Byrnes has indicated that his Alfa Beat is more likely to run in the four miles National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham next month, instead of his intended Irish Grand National engagemement in April. Alf Beat was last seen in action when completing an impressive five-timer when winning the Kerry National at Listowel in September and Byrnes yesterday stated "there is a good chance he will go to Cheltenham provided the ground is good because we're concerned that he'll have to carry too much weight in the Irish National off his mark of 149."
