Sedro Woolley gains maiden success Four-year-old Sedro Woolley (11/2) registered a maiden success on his fifth attempt today, landing Dundalk’s Celebrate Your Special Occasion At Dundalk Stadium Handicap (Div I) for trainer Willie McCreery and jockey Billy Lee, who later competed a treble. Championship-leader Lee, earlier successful on held-up Heart Of You, produced yet another successful waiting-ride on Sedro Woolley, who led narrowly inside the final furlong and defeated Go Out by a half-length. Winning trainer Willie McCreery said "Sedro Woolley just gave himself a bang since his last run and needed time. Sheryl Watson (owner) from South House Stud has been very patient and it paid off. "He's a homebred, she loves him and ‘Sedro Woolley' is a town in Washington State which that she goes to every now and then. "He needs good ground, so we'll see what the handicapper does and come back up here again. A mile will be grand for him as well." Lee subsequently completed his hat-trick on Enchanted Lady.
