America faces test in Naas opener Johnny Murtagh is keen to see how Latin America measures up in the opening rated race at Naas this afternoon. The Gleneagles colt takes a step up in class now having won his maiden, over ten furlongs, at Navan in fine style last month. He is currently a 7/2 shot in the mile contest this afternoon, behind even-money favourite Shaftesbury Avenue. Speaking at Navan yesterday, the Curragh trainer said:- "It is a hot race, but all those races are tomorrow. "We want to see where he fits in and will he make up into an Ascot horse." When asked him dropping back in trip, he replied: "It is the perfect race, there's not many races for him."
