Psychedelic Funk stars among six juveniles set to go to post for the Jebel Ali Racecourse & Stables Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.

The Ger Lyons-trained colt made a big impression in winning his first two starts at Naas and was far from disgraced when third behind Caravaggio and subsequent Group Two scorer Mehmas in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.

"He's a very straightforward horse," Lyons told At The Races.

"We're dropping back into a Group Three - we won the Railway with Medicine Jack - so it just fits in.

"We'll get Saturday out of the way and see where we go after that.

"The rain is very localised but Brendan (Sheridan, clerk of the course) does a good job and we'll worry about that (the ground) later, if we have to."

Mirdif is sent back into action by Michael O'Callaghan just a week after finishing third in the Listed Tipperary Stakes.

O'Callaghan said: "We're running him back fairly quickly but he's a tough colt and I think he'll be able to punch his weight.

"We ran him over five furlongs the last day and maybe he just isn't a five-furlong horse.

"He ran a solid race in the Railway (finished sixth), there's a lot of prize-money on offer and we'll give it a go."

Aidan O'Brien relies upon Peace Envoy, who was fourth in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot before being touched off by Medicine Jack in the Railway Stakes three weeks ago.

Radio Silence is a major contender for Jim Bolger after justifying odds-on favouritism on his recent Leopardstown debut.

Joseph O'Brien's Ambiguity and Ready To Roc from Johnny Murtagh's yard complete the field.
