Ansgar back at Curragh if ground suitable Ansgar is set to return to action at the Curragh next weekend, providing he gets the good ground he needs. Trainer Sabrina Harty has only run her charge twice this season and has been frustrated on a few occasions when having to bypass targets. The seven-year-old enjoyed a terrific campaign last year, culminating in Group Two success in the OLBG Park Stakes at Doncaster. He holds an entry in the Group Three Renaissance Stakes next Saturday and Harty is keen to get him back on the racecourse. "He's in next weekend at the Curragh and we plan to run if we get good ground. It would be nice if it was good to firm," said the Co Kildare handler. "He's fresh and well and if we can just get the ground, we'll be happy. We just haven't been able to get the ground for him and the right race. "He was in at Goodwood but the ground changed when they got a few more millimetres than expected. "He ran well over the six at Ascot (in the Diamond Jubilee), but was just a bit fresh and keen in the early stages."
