Arctic Fire among Fighting Fifth entries Arctic Fire could attempt to go two better than he did last year in the StanJames.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle on November 28. Willie Mullins' charge was third to Irving in the Grade One during a sequence of fine efforts in defeat, which included a second in the Champion Hurdle, and he returned to action with victory in the Lismullen Hurdle at Navan last weekend. Mullins has also put in last season's top novice Nichols Canyon, while Irving may be in opposition again and also features among the 20 Fighting Fifth entries. Paul Nicholls' seven-year-old reappeared at Wincanton last week and, despite top weight, he brushed aside some smart rivals in the Elite Hurdle. Dan Downie, representing owners the Axom Syndicate, said: "He was very good and we were very happy with him. He'd come back well from his summer break and the soft ground helped him." Downie continued: "He'd had a wind op and he looked a good deal better than at any stage last season. "Paul said he'd left a bit to work on with the aim of the Fighting Fifth, so it's all positive. "There's some nice second-season hurdlers he'll be taking on, but we've got the experience up our sleeve." Nicholls may also run All Yours and among the other youngsters in contention are the Nicky Henderson-trained trio of Peace And Co, Top Notch and Hargam, the first three home in the Triumph Hurdle. Henderson has also entered My Tent Or Yours, winner of the race in 2013, and Sign Of A Victory. John Ferguson has entered Penglai Pavilion, Devilment, Commissioned, Maputo, Purple Bay and Sea Lord.
