Arctic could run in France again

Arctic could return to France in November, granted suitable ground conditions, following a fine comeback run at Longchamp on Sunday.

The three-year-old colt was a creditable fifth to Gilt Edge Girl in the Prix de l'Abbaye in his first race since June - and only his second run in 12 months.

Arctic now has the Group Three Prix de Seine-et-Oise at Maisons-Laffitte as a possible end-of-season objective.

"He ran a cracker. It was a hell of a run as he'd been off for so long," said Curragh trainer Tracey Collins.

"He could be a pretty exciting horse for us next year, hopefully.

"Ground permitting, there are one or two races left for him, but there's not an awful lot.

"There's a possibility he could go back to France on the 1st of November for a Group Three race over six furlongs at Maisons-Laffitte."
