Arriniti justified her short price with a cosy success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Dundalk.

The Karakontie filly had been runner-up on her first start for Paddy Twomey at Navan 13 days ago and went one better in the colours of Team Valor.

Billy Lee tracked the leaders in the six furlong contest before asking his mount to hit the front passing the two pole.

The 1/2 shot asserted over a furlong from home and kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a two-and-three-quarter length win over Song For Whatever.

Lee said afterward:- “The draw wasn't too kind but she bounced lovely and floated around.

“She was travelling easy, picked it up, and just had a little look when she got there. When I sent her on about her business she galloped away well.

“She loved the surface and I'd imagine she'll maybe be coming back here for one of the listed races, whether it's over five or seven.

“She did it well and got the job done.”
