Athenry on course for Ebor Fields Of Athenry is likely to run in the Betfred Ebor next week rather than the Great Voltigeur. Aidan O'Brien's three-year-old has created a big impression in winning a Listed race and a Group Three on his last two outings at Leopardstown. Unusually for a horse of his age he has earned a high enough rating to get into the prestigious handicap and O'Brien seems keen to have a crack. "Fields Of Athenry will go for the Ebor," said the Ballydoyle handler. "He's tough and hardened and stays well. We know he can go off in front which can make things easier in the Ebor. "He handles dig in the ground but he's also won at Dundalk so if it's fast he should be OK."
