BACH HOLDS DUBAI ENTRY

Bach was the sole remaining Irish entry for the Dubai World Cup on March 24th when the second stage entries were published for the US$6million Group One event today.

The Aidan O`Brien trained colt has not been seen out since finishing second to Suances in the Group One Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly last June.

He had previously lost his unbeaten tag when going down by a head to subsequent dual Derby hero Sinndar in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown.

Champion European filly Petrushka is also in the World Cup but although connections have confirmed she will run at the meeting they have not yet decided between the main race and the Group Two Dubai Sheema Classic.

She will be accompanied to Dubai by stablemate Greek Dance.

Other possible runners for the main event include inaugural Japan Cup (Dirt) winner Wing Arrow, recent Grade I Donn Handicap winner Captain Steve as well as the Group I winners Hightori, Endless Hall and ex-Irish colt Aristotle.

Aidan O`Brien has a strong hand in the Group Three US$2million UAE Derby with four entries. The Ballydoyle maestro could rely on Beckett, King`s County, Mozart and Hans Anderson.

Dermot Weld has entered the globe trotting Pine Dance for the Group Two US$2million Dubai Duty Free and Group Three US$1million Godolphin Mile. The Joanna Morgan-trained One Won One and Aidan O`Brien`s Mull Of Kintyre are also possibles for the Godolphin Mile.
