BHA 'hopeful' of Dettori return British Horseracing Authority chief executive Paul Bittar is "hopeful" that jockey Frankie Dettori will make his return before the Epsom Derby next weekend. Dettori had been booked to return to race riding last Monday - after a six month ban from France Galop for testing positive for cocaine - but remains on the sidelines after an "irregularity" in a test carried out in April by the French authorities. Bittar, speaking on The Morning Line, commented: "As soon as he has satisfied all of their (France Galop) requirements we are in a position to move very quickly. "I know they are very hopeful he will satisfy all of their requirements in the next few days. "If they can, we are in a position to green light him very quickly. "The information in the public domain is all the information that France Galop have given us - just that there was an irregularity and they sought to discuss the issue with him."
