Ballinrobe now soft after significant rain

Following significant overnight rain the going is now soft at Ballinrobe ahead of the twilight jumps meeting there tomorrow.

The western track was hit with 25mm of rain which changed the going report of good at declaration time to soft for an eight-race card commencing at 3.55pm.

There is the possibility of further showers today (approximately 3-4mm) and the forecast is mainly dry for Friday.

There are also going updates at Leopardstown and Curragh ahead of Irish Champions Weekend with both tracks getting 7mm of rain overnight.

Leopardstown is currently good, good to firm in places, with some showers forecast today (4mm approx). The forecast is mainly dry thereafter and selective watering is taking place this morning.

The going at the Curragh is good on the straight course and good, good to firm in places, on the round course.

There are heavy showers forecast for today and officials will monitor the situation regarding watering.
