Balnaslow all set for Stratford test Graham McKeever is hoping Balnaslow can reverse Cheltenham form with Wonderful Charm if the pair clash again in Friday's Pertemps Network Stratford Foxhunters Champion Hunters' Chase. The Paul Nicholls-trained Wonderful Charm finished second in the Foxhunter at Prestbury Park and subsequently went on to finish down the field in the Grand National. Cheltenham fifth Balnaslow was second in the amateurs' event over the Aintree fences in April and then landed the Champion Hunters Chase at the Punchestown Festival. McKeever said: "He is all set for Stratford and will head over there tomorrow. There was not a bother on him after Punchestown, he came out of Cheltenham worse than anywhere else. "He is in good form, but you never really know until the day. He is working well, eating up well, and he is a hardy type of horse who takes his races. We have Derek O'Connor booked to ride and he is looking forward to it. "Obviously I'd be worried about Wonderful Charm, but I still think we'll beat him. I just can't understand the rule for hunter chases in England. He ran in the Grand National this year and is still allowed to run in hunter chases. "There is nothing in the race that I'd be really afraid of, but maybe that's being too bullish! Wonderful Charm is the only horse who beat him before. "I'd say we might have beaten him with a slicker jump at the last in Cheltenham, but that was back in March and we are in June now so we'll see what happens."
