Balnaslow has made the frame on his latest two outings in top-class handicaps and looks to have been found a good opportunity to regain the winning thread in the Tramore Racecourse Members Chase on Sunday.

The Willie Mullins-trained gelding was fourth to On His Own in the Goffs Thyestes Chase and filled the same spot last month at the Cheltenham Festival in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Handicap Chase.

On both occasions the Presenting seven-year-old appeared to be found wanting for stamina in the closing stages when going beyond three miles, and the return to two and three-quarter miles should prove ideal.

Paul Townend's mount readily accounted for one of his rivals, Hunting Party, when landing a beginners chase over this trip at Thurles back in October.

The Dessie Hughes-trained Hunting Party made little impact when also lining up in the Thyestes and the Kim Muir.

Mullins has good prospects of a treble on the afternoon with Pink Hat sure to go close in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle, while Flemensfirth newcomer Tt's Star is also ridden by his son, Patrick, in the bumper.

Tt's Star is the first foal of Shandon Star, who won six times for Mullins and was runner-up to Cuan Na Grai in the 2006 Guinness Galway Hurdle.

Barry Geraghty makes a rare visit to the seaside venue and Vincent Row may prove the pick of his three rides on the card in the Tramore Family Fun Day Maiden Hurdle.

Philip Rothwell's charge has shaped well in staying handicap company this season, and was beaten less than three lengths by Inis Meain at Navan.
