Beauty ready for trip down under Profound Beauty will leave for Australia on Sunday after being given the go-ahead to run in the Emirates Melbourne Cup next month. The six-year-old mare, trained by Dermot Weld, will be having her second attempt at the prestigious handicap, having finished fifth to Viewed in 2008. She was second to another Flemington possible Sans Frontieres in the Irish Field St Leger on her latest start. "She's in good order and she will be leaving for Australia next Sunday," said Stan Cosgrove, racing manager of owners the Moyglare Stud. "She's in quarantine. They'll just have a look at the joints and X-rays and things like that just to make sure she's OK, but as far as I know she's all right." Profound Beauty is 16-1 for glory in the two-mile Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 2.
